More About Food - What Else?

Anyone who’s read these pages knows I’m always whining about the pounds I put on in the last year, merrily eating my way through Provence, private homes in the South of India, the food Emporiums of Hong Kong & Singapore, and every noodle house in Japan. I didn’t hold back. All that great cuisine did was increase my appetite when I got back to L.A.

I couldn’t get into my jeans & my clothes were a bit tight. So, I picked up a book, THE NEW ATKINS FOR A NEW YOU, and since I started following its advice, 3 ½ weeks ago, I’ve taken off 4 of the 7 pounds I need to lose. My clothes fit again. I slip into my jeans – no problem.

I’m eating lots of delicious food, plenty of protein & natural fats, and enough carbohydrates to satisfy me. No sugar, bread, cake, potatoes, or grains, nor do I crave them. I’m slathering butter & cream onto my food, eating no rice, & losing fat.

It’s Healthy! I feel fit & energetic. If one can believe the Atkins claim, cholesterol goes down & all good healthy things happen to your body.

I'll tell you more if you email me. Go ahead. I dare you!

Speaking of bodies, I see that French women are giving up going topless on the beaches of France. It’s about time. I thought it had become boring. It was very exciting when I did it in the sixties, when it meant something, but now - what does it mean? You care about your suntan lines, is all I can think of.
